100% Clairette (plus a touch of Marsanne). From certifed-organic, mainly-Clairette vines planted on a south-facing slope on the granite soils of the St-Julien en St-Alban zone in the Ardèche at the southern edge of the northern Rhône Valley). The bunches are harvested by hand, direct-pressed and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and no sulfur in open-top cement tanks. The wine is aged 6-8 months in cement and is bottled without fining or filtration and with a touch of sulfur. The name is a reference to" Adèle Blanc-Sec", a 1970s newspaper comic strip (and its heroine) set in Paris circa 1912.
