Alto Mare—meaning “deep seas”— is a vibrant skin-contact white blend that is hazy and golden in the glass made from Trebbiano, Malvasia Di Candia, Passerina, and Fiano. The grapes are hand-harvested and then undergo spontaneous fermentation with 2 days of skin contact in the stainless steel tanks, where they will then age for about 12 months.

Malvasia is an incredibly aromatic variety, and it dominates the nose—you get whiffs of IPA, lemon, yeast, ocean and Kern’s peach nectar. It tastes even more amazing, like ripe peaches, chamomile and grapefruit riding on a salty wave of freshness and acidity.
